Global Rule Updates

[1008.5] - POV and STV Demos has been updated to shorten the demo expiry period from 4 years to 2 years. Players with a ban in [1003] - Game Integrity are exempt from this and do not have an expiry with demo offenses.


[1002.5] - Witch Hunting has been rewritten to clarify the league's definition of witch hunting and what may constitute one.


[1002.2] - Harassment / Flaming / In-Game Toxicity has been updated to clarify that the examples of harassment in this section are not tolerated regardless of where it occurs when it is being reported.


[1008.16] - Disruption of RGL Services has been updated to clarify that attempting to disrupt play during the regular season or playoffs is an example of disruption in RGL.


[1004.1] - Punitive Action Toward Players has been updated to clarify how lengths for mirrored cheating, account sharing, and alternate account bans are applied as they follow the lengths from RGL rules.

Bans

These bans were enacted before the release of this article. If you would like to file a report, you can do so on our site here. Appeals can also be found on the same page.

NOTE: We only look at user-submitted reports. If you do not file a report, then there is a good chance we have not seen it and cannot deal with the situation.

Cheating

The following player(s) have been caught cheating by the RGL Anti-cheat team and will be banned:

The following alternate account(s) have been caught connected to existing accounts in RGL by the RGL Anti-cheat team and will be permanently banned:

• Tacoboi
• Name holder

Probation

The following players have been banned and placed on probation:

• hoodoos - Harassment; threat of harm and anti-semitic comments made towards another RGL player(s). - 6 Months
• Garbo - Leaking private information regarding RGL players as an admin. - 8 Months

Update on the player(s) that have been banned while on probation:

• surreal - Making unwelcome and inappropriate sexual remarks towards RGL player(s). Offseason ban delayed for the start of RGL Highlander Season 18. - 3 Months (3rd ban inside of RGL, 2nd ban on probation)

After the minimum period has been served, the player(s) can appeal to have the ban lifted if they can show that they've improved themselves and how they interact within the community.

League

• Young Man/Young Sanity - Harassment/transphobia towards another RGL player(s). - 1 Month
• kason - Harassment and threat of doxxing of player(s) in the community. Offseason ban delayed for the start of RGL Sixes Season 15. - 3 Months

Sportsmanship and Spirit

The following player(s) have/had been suspended for 1-6 weeks for their usage of racist slurs, homophobic or transphobic language, excessive toxicity, flaming, or derogatory language on our platforms. Repeat offenders will get longer ban lengths.

VAC Ban

The following account(s) have been permanently banned for having VAC bans that may be affecting TF2. If you have a VAC ban for a game that is not TF2, please contact an admin to get the ban removed.

• Pneuma - Failure to submit demos - Automatic 2nd offense (Offense occurred in a playoff match, see [1008.5] - POV and STV Demos). - 2 Weeks
