Registration for RGL Highlander Season 16 is now open! The new team registration deadline is
September 20th at 11:59 PM EDT,The full season dates are below:
- New Team Registration Open: Wed, Aug 16th
- Invite and Advanced registration Ends: Sept 13th @ 11:59 PM EDT
- General Registration Ends: Wed, Sept 20th @ 11:59 PM EDT
- Qualifiers (if needed): Sat, Sept 23rd - Mon, Sept 25th
- Division placements finalized, week 1 matches scheduled: Wed, Sept 27th
- Invite Fees Due: Mon, Oct 2nd (Time extension is given for qualifier teams.)
- Regular Season: Mon, Oct 2nd – Mon, Nov 13th (7 Weeks)
- Roster Locks: Sun, Nov 5th @ 11:59 PM EST
- Playoffs Start: Mon, Nov 20th
- Last possible date for playoff matches: Mon, Dec 11th

Staff Changes
Hi, I'm
Jercer. Since Season 11, I have been the HL Newcomer Moderator. Now, with Constantly stepping down, I am assuming the role of Highlander Head Admin.
asian is stepping down from his position of Amateur Admin and leaving Highlander staff. We thank asian for the work he has done and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
vorboyvo and
Kitt(eh) are stepping down from their positions of Advanced Admin and Newcomer Admin (respectively) and are now floating HL staff members.
Alltrex and
Krissy will be joining Highlander Staff.
We are currently still filling roles on Highlander staff ad shifting other staff roles to accommodate, so be on the lookout for another article or Discord announcement for the completed list of staff changes!
Important Info for Invite Teams
Invite and Advanced will have 8 spots this season, with at least one spot reserved for qualifier teams if needed. Placement of teams in qualifiers or one of the remaining spots will be up to admin discretion but is largely determined by previous experience.
The regular season for Invite and Advanced will span 7 weeks with an 8-team round-robin.
Invite and Advanced playoffs will be played as a 4-team double-elimination.
Qualifiers
If necessary, Qualifiers for Invite and Advanced will run September 23rd-September 25th as a 4-team round-robin tournament. Please contact your division admin if your team would like to be considered for Qualifiers. Teams will be notified if they are in Qualifiers at some point after Invite and Advanced registration closes (September 13th).
Team Logos
For this upcoming season, we are excited to announce a new opportunity for Invite teams for this upcoming season.
We are reorganizing the way we are handling Team Logos for Invite teams through a new Team Logo form that will need to be filled out by every Invite team before the start of every season. This new form will allow teams to submit, request, or update their logos. This will help us to ensure that every team will have a Team Logo right at the start of the season.
The major reason for this change is that we are going to be providing Invite teams with the opportunity to profit from the sale of merchandise featuring their team logo. Through the merchandising agreement that is included in the Team Logo form; we will create merch that will be added to the RGL shop that players can purchase to help support their favorite teams. It is our hope that through this, teams will be motivated to try and cultivate their own following and earn money through it.
However, we will not be requiring teams to allow RGL to sell merch with their logo. Teams can opt-out through the merchandising agreement in the Team Logo form. However, please be aware as stated, that teams will be required to fill out the form before the start of the season in order for this to work. Teams that fail to complete the form in time will forfeit their ability to request a logo from RGL, and RGL will provide them with a logo on their behalf.
We are hopeful that through this effort, we can continue to help players and teams grow towards a better future.

We encourage you to make a post in the website’s
Looking For Team (LFT) section and also post in our
Discord server’s #looking-for-team-hl channel.
You should also contact leaders of teams who need a player. You can find them listed in the
Teams Looking for Players (LFP) section and also the LFP section of our
Discord server’s #looking-for-player-hl channel.
Players Experienced in Competitive:
We particularly encourage you to make a thread on the
RGL HL LFT forums section. This will allow you to advertise yourself to higher-profile teams.
Browsing the
LFP section of the forums will also present you with many teams that are looking to recruit players.
