How to find a team to join

Finding a team is not hard, but it does require you to put in a little effort.

First, you should make a post in the websites Looking For Team (LFT) section and also post in our discord #na-looking-for-team.

Second, you should contact leaders of teams who need a player. You can find them listed in the Teams Looking for Players (LFP) section and also the LFP section of our discord #na-teams-looking-for-players.

Changes for Season 6

Season length

We are now alternating our HL and Prolander leagues. So they will not overlap, except possibly over the Fall Season. If you want see the league dates, you can go to the new RGL Front Page to see for yourself.

Due to that, Prolander will be going to a five-week season + playoffs. Currently, we're planning on only doing one match per week. For the 7th season, we are considering moving to matches twice a week.

Default Match Day

Remember those default match days are just that, the default. Teams can play before or after this date, provided both teams agree to it. We are moving the default match day to be consistent with our HL league and that'll be on Mondays at 9:30 Eastern.

RGL is Monday night TF2. Fortunately, Monday has the least amount of conflicts with other important leagues and now that we aren't conflicting with the largest HL league (RGL) over that date, we decided to move to it. I know that some people preferred Thursdays, but you can still work with other teams to reschedule to that time.

Invite will still play on Tuesday nights, so our main player base will have a chance to tune in to the cast!

Map Pool

We're keeping with the maps we've had in the past. We haven't been impressed enough with any new custom maps to replace existing ones. We will be doing three stopwatch maps and two koth maps for the regular season.

We are finalizing the list, but it looks to be: Upward, Borneo, Steel | Product, Coalplant.

We might hold a vote in March to get the opinions of the players in the league on what maps they enjoy playing.

Prize Pool

The exact prize pool numbers have not been decided, but we are planning something new this season. We will have the possibility of payouts to every team in the Invite division, not just the top 3.

We have had a Div-1 prize in the past, we plan to have something again for that division this season. Though smaller than what we've done previously. We also will possibly have a small top prizes for Div-2 as well.
