This article will be an update to communicate recent and new developments as we head closer to organizing a LAN for RGL Invite 6s Season 15 and the Open Tournament and PUGs on July 20-21, 2024.

The venue will offer us enough PCs to run a 12-team Open Tournament in addition to the 4-team Invite Playoffs. The venue will also have a main stage for Invite playoffs with dedicated seating for spectators for a greater viewing experience.

Philly 6s LAN Open Tournament and PUGs

The RGL 6s Philly LAN Open Tournament and PUGs will take place at LAN and will give non-Invite Playoffs players a chance to play with teammates and friends in person! A maximum of twelve teams will be allowed to participate. Accepted teams will be determined on a first-come-first-serve basis, so sign up as soon as possible with your team of six if you want to participate. Teams will be assigned a set of six computers at Localhost Philly for the Tournament on Saturday. However, due to the limited number of PCs available (at least 42 open PCs) on Sunday, this day will be used to allow tournament teams (priority to open tournament top finishers) to participate in pickup games and have computer free time.

NOTE: You must be on a registered team in the tournament to participate in the pugs and also take advantage of the computer free time outside of the tournament.

The following maps will be played during the tournament, in no particular order:

As this is an Open Tournament, no class restrictions will be placed on any players, and the twelve teams will be split into three non-skill-based divisions (four teams per division). All teams in each division will play six best-of-one map group stage matches (double round robin). There will be no playoffs. Final rankings will be determined by the percentage of rounds won.

Pickup games are currently planned for the 6s format but we can run other formats depending on player demand for this at LAN.

All matches must be played on time. No rescheduling will be available during this tournament!

Confirmed Dates and Structure of Tournament

(Note: Schedule might have minor changes prior to the start of LAN)

The RGL LAN will be scheduled to occur on the weekend of July 20th to July 21st (Saturday and Sunday).
This will be two weeks after the regular season to allow the Invite playoff teams to prepare by booking flights and hotels. As it is being held on a weekend, it will be a two-day event. Day 1 will cover the first round and semifinals of playoffs and day 2 will cover the lower bracket finals and grand finals.
For the Open Tournament and PUGs, day 1 will be for group stages and pugs and day 2 will cover the pugs and computer free time.

Spectator Passes

1-Day Spectator passes will be sold for $20 and the 2-Day Spectator Passes will be sold for $30.

PC and Peripherals

96 gaming PCs (day 1) and 60 gaming PCs (day 2) with monitors. Peripherals (headset, mouse, keyboard, and mouse pad) will need to be rented out at the venue if you do not bring your own peripherals ($10 for keyboard, $5 for mouse, and no charge for headsets). Players are encouraged to bring their own peripherals. Players will be able to import a USB Flash Drive into the PC for custom configs and UI.

Cost

The cost of entry for Invite playoff teams will be included with the normal Invite fees, including access to PCs during the entire two-day tournament. The cost of entry for the Open Tournament and PUGs will be $60 a player. Spectator passes will be $20 (1-day Pass) and $30 (2-day Pass) for everyone else.
